Rehabilitation Counselors and Educators Association

Most Americans are not familiar with the life changing work of rehabilitation counselors until they are in need of one. Often called the marine corps of the human services field, rehab professionals meld technology, practical knowledge, resourcefulness and compassion to help more than one million individuals with disabilities annually. Nearly one in seven families in the U.S. will be affected when one of its members experiences injury or illness that requires extensive rehabilitation. The path towards recovery involves an array of medical specialties, therapy and finding workable solutions to a suddenly altered life.
